Originally released in the golden era of Korean MMORPGs, RF Online (Rising Force Online) revolutionized the market by masterfully fusing classic elements of medieval fantasy with immersive science fiction. Far from traditional peaceful monster battles, RF Online brought a visceral concept to the world: dependence on mineral resources, racial pride, and real-time total warfare politics.
The Lore: The Trilateral Conflict
The entire plot takes place in the distant galaxy of Novus. A sector once ruled by an advanced dynasty has fallen into ruin, leaving behind mysterious structures and, above all, the most valuable resource in the universe: the minerals from the deep mines of Crag Mine. Without these minerals, no civilization can thrive or fuel its fleets and technologies.
The Three Supreme Races
• ACCRETIA EMPIRE: The personification of mechanical evolution. The Accretia gave up their biological bodies and flesh in exchange for cold cybernetic carapaces and weapons of mass destruction. Their iconic weapon, the Siege-mode Launcher, is capable of devastating entire armies from a distance.
• BELLATO UNION: Masters of war engineering and spiritual balance. They use gravitational magic and heavy mechanics to defend themselves. Their greatest technological achievement is the imposing MAUs (Massive Armored Units), giant combat robots they pilot on the battlefields.
• CORA ALLIANCE: A mystical andocratic civilization guided by ancestral magic. The Cora channel forces of nature and summon the dreaded Animus — spiritual and dark deities that fight alongside them, healing, defending, or destroying the infidels.
The Chip War (CW)
The mechanical and competitive heart of RF Online beats through the iconic Chip War, which takes place three times a day. In this massive battle, hundreds of players from the three races collide simultaneously in the center of the Crag Mine map. The goal is to destroy the control chip of a rival race and protect your own.
The victorious race earns the exclusive right to mine the rich veins of Novus under the protection of the powerful Mine Guardian. It is a political and military system where the leadership of the Archon (the elected representative of each race) dictates the success or failure of their people.

RF Online Old Times was born with the purpose of rescuing the peak of this competitive ecosystem. We eliminated modern automated systems and overpowered items that unbalanced the original essence of the game. Our focus is to give players back the root experience: valued progression, teamwork within guilds, active trade, and above all, the butterflies in the stomach when hearing the Chip War alarm start.
